Northbridge Kids & Student Volunteer Code of Conduct

My Words

I know that the things I say, whether in person or online, have power to influence. Therefore, I will use good judgment in the words I speak and the things I post or engage in online. I will uplift and edify those around me, avoiding the use of inappropriate language or hateful speech.

My Actions

I know that actions speak louder than words and that people are watching me. Therefore, through God’s power, I will live an obedient, surrendered life. I will not engage in or support the distribution of inappropriate content, whether in person or online. I will set an example in modesty and will not show photos of myself or others in revealing clothing. I will not use illegal drugs or consume excess amounts of alcohol.

My Love

I know that God calls me to love others. Therefore, I will set a positive example by showing grace and love in my words and actions. I will treat everyone with respect and dignity. I will not let frustration, mood or difference of opinion compromise the opportunity I have to be a godly influence to those around me.

My Faith

I know that strong faith is vital to my success as a leader. Therefore, I will commit to grow spiritually through private Bible study, faithfully attend church, and be in community with other followers of Jesus. I will continually seek God’s guidance so that I can help make more and better disciples of Jesus.

My Purity

I know that God calls me to honor His design for marriage and sexual relationships—that His design is for sex to be shared only in the confines of marriage between one man and one woman. Therefore, I will strive to live for Him according to His design for my life, my body, my mind, and my relationships. I will not engage in or practice sex outside of marriage, extramarital sexual relationships, homosexual activity, nor will I participate in the use of pornography, vulgarity and profanity.

My Promise

I promise to practice and support the values laid out in this Code of Conduct. I understand that my role in this area of kids and/or student ministry calls me to a higher standard based on Biblical principles and that consistently ignoring or violating any of these values may disqualify me from serving in this area. If my integrity in any of these areas has been compromised, I will take responsibility and immediately contact my Children’s or Student Campus Champion for guidance and support.
